FTP site for Original Work (obsolete)

Many MIDI composers contributed their own work to the FTP site
for Original Midi's: ftp.rc.tudelft.nl.

The list of contents is: /pub/midi/00-index.

Explanation of file-suffixes:

.mid = one of the standard MIDI file formats (binary)
.zip = collection of MIDI (and text) files (binary), archived
       and compressed together with "PKZIP" (*)
.txt = ASCII text file, containing for example lyrics
.doc = ASCII text file, containing information about this site
.sig = ASCII text file, containing information about a composer

(*) PKZIP and PKUNZIP are avaliable as:
ftp.rc.tudelft.nl:/pub/pc/msdos/compress/pkz204g.exe

But ... WE WANT MORE !!!

Send your own compositions, coded in whatever format, to the adress below.

Requirements:
------------
- Standard & correct Midi File format
- original work of your own; no covers
- only complete files; no jam sessions
- CopyRighted (or -Lefted) as you wish

It IS possible to upload midi files yourself, but it's VERY tricky! So,
if you want to upload yourself, BUT if you don't want to stay anonymous
forever, then read the _upload instructions_ VERY carefully and/or drop
me an e-mail with your name & adress.

We make uploads of these compositions every week, to the following site:
'ftp.rc.tudelft.nl', directory '/pub/midi', which is available for public
(anonymous) access.

! This site is _exclusively_ for original midi compositions !

Note: I will almost certainly listen to these files, and if they don't seem
to be original work, they will be removed, even without notification. There
exist boundary cases, of course, to be judged by the maintainer. That's me:
