Jubilate project

As quoted from the Download Page:
Jubilate Deo omnis terra (Orlando di Lasso), the midi music.
"Jubilate" is actually a polyphonic piece,
which can only be played properly with a dedicated Karaoke player, which only works for MS-DOS, unfortunately.
With another Karaoke player, a non proportional font is supposed to work best.

The way PolyText has been done in those days clearly shows the need for an alternative. It has been displayed in this way on a black & white computer screen, yes! You were supposed to read your part vertically, from the top to the bottom, instead of horizontally, from the left to the right:

A little conversion program has been developed for the purpose of making a future Jubilate midifile compatible with our META proposal. The program has a (far more complete) DTN text representation of the original midifile as input and a (far less complete) DTN text representation of the future Jubilate midifile as output.
However, there is not yet a midi player who can display such PolyText. In order to display songtext with existing midi-karaoke players, a program (app) called POLY2LY has been developed. Just define the part that you want to sing, and the accompanying song text shall be properly displayed by the player. Only one part at a time, though:   part 0 (1) , part 1 (2) , part 2 (4) , part 3 (8) . It looks like this (part 0):

But there is another way. In concordance with the LilyPond solution, another little conversion program has been developed for the purpose of making the resulting Jubilate midifile compatible with LilyPond. The program has a (less complete) DTN text representation of the original midifile as input. And it has (complete) CTN equivalents of the four PolyText tracks as output: part 1 , part 2 , part 3 , part 4 . Adding these different parts together with the music results in a LilyPond compatible Jubilate midifile, ready for score production eventually. But anyway it can be played with KPlay:
